What to include
The more of this you can give us up front, the more accurate the price and the fewer surprises later.
- Both addresses, or at least both suburbs
- What it is — pallets, machinery, containers, or a headcount if it is people
- Weight and dimensions, especially the widest and tallest point
- Loading equipment at each end — forklift, dock, crane, or nothing
- Timing, including any curfew or delivery window
- Anything unusual — dangerous goods, temperature range, permits, site access
Why we ask about the site, not just the addresses
Most failed deliveries are not driving problems. They are a truck arriving somewhere that cannot receive it — no forklift, no swing room, a gate too narrow, a delivery window nobody confirmed. Thirty seconds describing the site is the cheapest insurance in freight.
